I recently went to the theatre to watch a show that dealt with some hard hitting issues.  A man next to me kept huffing and puffing. Huff, puff, huff, puff. I gave him the benefit of the doubt.

One of the most common questions I’ve been asked over the years when people find out I’m a writer with a full-time day job and a family is:  ‘Where do you find the time?”

And you write.  You write when what you write makes no sense and you don’t know why you’re writing about burnt toast and porridge and a man who likes cats.  

Not everyone understands the enormity of getting a literary agent.  In fact I didn’t really understand it, until I needed to understand it.

I keep trying to remind myself that the journey is the destination - and not to wish my life away.  My book, A Murder for Miss Hortense, will be published in June of next year.
